Site Remediation Reform Act & Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Program
The Site Remediation Reform Act (SRRA) provides sweeping changes to the way in which sites are remediated in New Jersey. SRRA establishes a program for the licensing of Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRPs) who will have responsibility for oversight of environmental investigation and cleanup.
Interim Rules Implementing SRRA
- including the Administrative Requirements for the Remediation of Contaminated Sites (ARRCS) Rules
The SRRA interim rule package is a special adoption that was effective upon filing with the Office of Administrative Law on November 4, 2009. These new and amended rules are the Department's interim rules to implement the SRRA and are scheduled to expire on May 4, 2011. This rule package includes the following:
- Repeal of the Department Oversight of the Remediation of contaminated Sites (Oversight Rules), N.J.A.C. 7:26C.
- Adoption of Administrative Requirements for the Remediation of Contaminated Sites (ARRCS) Rules, N.J.A.C. 7:26C.
- Amendments to the Underground Storage Tanks (UST) Rules, N.J.A.C. 7:14B.
- Amendments to the Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA) Rules, N.J.A.C. 7:26B.
- Amendments to the Remediation Standards rules, N.J.A.C. 7:26D.
- Amendments to the Technical Requirements for Site Remediation (Technical Rules), N.J.A.C. 7:26E.
- and Minor Amendments to Other Department Rules
SRP Guidance Library
The Site Remediation Program has developed guidance documents to be used by the regulated community in concert with the Program's remediation rules.
SRP Forms Library
The Site Remediation Program has developed forms that are required to be used by the regulated community to submit remediation documents, fees and other information to the Department during the course of a remediation.
