"" At the March 11, 2009 DRBC Meeting, two presentations were given on the current effort to create and make available
flood inundation maps for the main stem Delaware River from Trenton, N.J. to Port Jervis, N.Y., excluding the
Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. This effort is being led by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Philadelphia District
and the National Weather Service Eastern Region Headquarters (NWS ERH). Once completed, these maps will depict
the correlation between forecasted flood stages at stream gages and how adjacent land would be inundated at those river levels.
Flood inundation mapping is one of the DRB Interstate Flood Mitigation Task Force's 45 recommendations highlighted in their Final Report.

" " Laura Tessieri, DRBC, presented the Army Corps of Engineers' (ACoE) ongoing efforts to complete
the inundation mapping and how these maps can be used by communities as a planning tool.
(Jason Miller, ACoE, authored the presentation - 2.5 MB; Adobe Reader required to view)

" " Laurie Hogan presented NWS ERH's ongoing efforts to integrate the ACoE's inundation maps
into the Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service (AHPS), an online tool for real-time flood information.
