County Resources and County Offices on Aging
The
National Association of Area Agencies
on Aging (N4A) is the umbrella organization for the 655 AAA's
in the United States. Area Agencies on Aging (referred to as County
Offices on Aging in New Jersey) are excellent resources for senior
services and programs in your community. There are 21 Area
Agencies on Aging throughout the state of New Jersey, one
for each county. Each Office on Aging participates in the New
Jersey EASE (Easy Access Single Entry) Program, offering information
and assistance, benefits screening, outreach, comprehensive assessment,
care planning and care management services, free of charge. NJEASE
makes it easy to acquire information and obtain and coordinate
services through one nationwide toll-free number, 1-877-222-3737.
This number will link you with your County Office on Aging so
you can receive assistance tailored to where you reside and what
you need. These agencies coordinate and support a wide range of
home and community-based services including transportation, home
delivered meal programs, home care, legal assistance, health insurance
counseling, respite care, and many others.
Here

Aging Home Pages. You may find these sites useful when investigating
the community services and programs in your area. Unfortunately,
some County resource guides are not available on-line but you
are encouraged to contact the Agency directly through the NJEASE
