NJDOT proposing to readopt rules on Roadside, Drainage, Unusual and Disaster Maintenance
(Trenton) - The New Jersey Department of Transportation is proposing to readopt with amendments, repeals and new rules, N.J.A.C. 16:38, Roadside, Drainage, Unusual and Disaster Maintenance. This chapter establishes responsibilities for maintenance and damage related to the State right-of-way and for the removal of objects on the highway.
The proposed rule appears in the February 7, 2011 issue of the New Jersey Register. The public has until April 8, 2011 to comment on the proposal. Persons wishing to comment on the proposal must provide their comments in writing to Miriam Weeks, Administrative Practice Officer, NJ Department of Transportation, P.O. Box 600, Trenton, NJ 08625-0600. Faxes may be sent to (609) 530-3841. Comments must be postmarked or sent by telefacsimile on or before April 8, 2011 which is the close of the 60-day public comment period.
Comments submitted to the Department on the proposed rulemaking are public records and are available for public inspection by appointment during normal Department business hours.
